The fine print, in plain words
Terms of Service
Last updated October 17, 2026
These terms explain what you can expect from TrackMyCalorie and what we ask of you in return. Please read them, especially the section on medical advice, because nutrition numbers are estimates and should never replace a professional’s guidance.
- TrackMyCalorie is a wellness tool, not medical advice.
- Nutrition data and AI estimates are approximate. Check them before you log.
- You own what you log, and you can delete your account at any time.
Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and TrackMyCalorie (“we”, “us”) and cover your use of the TrackMyCalorie app for iPhone and Android and the website at trackmycalorie.com (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Not medical advice
TrackMyCalorie is a general wellness tool. It is not a medical device and does not give medical, nutritional or dietary advice. Calorie and macro targets are general estimates based on common formulas and the details you provide. They do not take your medical history into account and may not be right for you.
- Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before starting a diet or changing what you eat, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition, or take medication.
- Do not use the Service to diagnose, treat or manage any disease or condition, such as diabetes, where you need exact nutrition information.
- If you have, or think you may have, an eating disorder, calorie tracking may not be right for you. Please speak to a healthcare professional.
Never ignore professional medical advice because of something you saw in the app.
Nutrition data and AI estimates
Food information in the Service comes from public databases, such as USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts, from product barcodes, from foods you add yourself, and from AI estimates. This information can be incomplete or wrong, and products and recipes vary.
AI search uses artificial intelligence to estimate what is in a meal from your description. AI estimates are approximate and can be wrong, even when they sound confident. Please check the ingredients and amounts before you log them, and edit them if they don’t match what you ate.
We work to make the numbers useful, but we do not promise that any nutrition information in the Service is accurate or complete.
Who can use TrackMyCalorie, and your account
You must be at least eighteen to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you are, and that you can legally agree to these terms.
- Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account, so tell us straight away at support@trackmycalorie.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
- Your account is for you alone; please do not share it or sell it.
Using the Service responsibly
When you use the Service, you agree not to:
- break the law, or use the Service to harm or harass anyone;
- access the Service by automated means, scrape it, or overload or interfere with it;
- try to get around its security, rate limits or other technical protections, or access another person’s account or data;
- copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the Service or its food data, except where the law allows it;
- use AI search to produce content unrelated to food and nutrition, or enter other people’s personal information into it.
Your content
You own what you put into TrackMyCalorie, such as your diary, custom foods, recipes, weights and the meal descriptions you type (“Your Content”).
You give us permission to store, copy, process and display Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you, for example to sync it across your devices and to produce AI estimates. This permission ends when you delete Your Content or your account, apart from the short time described in our Privacy Policy.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve the Service without any obligation to you.
Our app and brand
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics and the TrackMyCalorie name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, in line with these terms. We keep all rights we do not expressly give you.
Price
TrackMyCalorie is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features, we will show you the price and the terms that apply before you are charged, and you will never be charged without choosing to buy. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are also subject to Apple’s or Google’s payment terms.
Other companies' services
Parts of the Service rely on other companies, such as Apple and Google for sign-in, Apple Health and Health Connect for activity data, and Anthropic for AI search. Your use of their products is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
Apple. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app, its content, maintenance or support, or for any claims about it. If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also follow the App Store’s usage rules.
Changes to the Service
We are always improving TrackMyCalorie, so features may be added, changed or removed. Sometimes the Service may be unavailable, for example for maintenance or because of problems outside our control. We may also require you to update the app to keep using it. If we decide to shut down the Service, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to get a copy of your data.
Ending your use of the Service
You can stop using TrackMyCalorie at any time, and you can delete your account in the app from the Profile tab by tapping Delete account. Deleting your account permanently deletes your data, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we have to by law, or to protect other users or the Service. Unless the law or a safety concern prevents it, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
Disclaimers
We provide the Service with care, but to the fullest extent the law allows, it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that it will meet your goals. Nothing in these terms affects rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, TrackMyCalorie will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill or health outcomes, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including reliance on any nutrition information or AI estimate.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Your responsibility to us
If you use the Service in breach of these terms or the law, and that leads to a claim against us by someone else, you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs we incur as a result, to the extent the law allows.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and if the changes are significant we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, you can delete your account at any time.
General
These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, and we will tell you if we do.
